Proxmox VE Infrastructure

Proxmox VE is the foundation of our cloud: it's the hypervisor running our European datacenters. Our expertise isn't documentary : it's exercised on our production.

The problem you're facing

Proxmox is powerful and accessible, which is its trap: a cluster set up quickly, without tested backups or monitoring, becomes a time bomb. Virtualisation simplified usage, not operations.

Our answer

We design and administer Proxmox clusters in production: architecture (Ceph or ZFS, network, quorum), tested PBS backups, monitoring, no-downtime upgrades and hardening.

What LaMeDuSe Cloud takes care of

  • Cluster architecture: nodes, storage, network, quorum
  • Setup or takeover of an existing cluster
  • Proxmox Backup Server: encrypted and tested backups
  • Prometheus/Grafana monitoring and alerting
  • Planned no-downtime upgrades
  • Hardening: access, network, isolation
  • VMware migration if needed

Our methodology

  1. 1

    Context audit

Volumes, criticality, hardware constraints and goals: context dictates the architecture.

  2. 2

    Tailored architecture

Argued recommendations, sized for your real loads and peaks.

  3. 3

    Implementation

Deployment by teams who run the same stack on their own production.

  4. 4

    Handover

Documentation, training and knowledge transfer for your autonomy.

Technologies

Proxmox VE & Proxmox Backup ServerKubernetes (kubeadm)Ceph, ZFSPrometheus, GrafanaAnsible, Terraform

Security

Hardened baseline configuration, secrets managed off the servers, encrypted backups and regular restore tests.

Hosting & infrastructure

Our own production runs on these technologies in our European datacenters: expertise is proven by operations.

Maintenance

Version tracking, security watch and support by the teams who administer the same stack daily.

Why LaMeDuSe Cloud

Our European cloud runs on Proxmox VE: hundreds of VMs and containers carry our platforms and our clients'. We know Proxmox in production, under load, in incidents.

Frequently asked questions

Since Broadcom's VMware licensing changes, Proxmox has become a serious, economical alternative for most uses. We administer both and support VMware-to-Proxmox migrations.

Yes : it's what we run in production, under load, with SLAs. Provided the rules are respected: correct quorum, replicated storage (Ceph or ZFS), tested backups and monitoring.

Yes: VM inventory, staged plan, machine conversion, rehearsal and cutover. Migration proceeds VM by VM to limit risk, with cohabitation during transition.

With Proxmox Backup Server: encrypted incremental backups, deduplication, defined retention and regular restore tests. Full VM restore is rehearsed, not assumed.
